Name : Luminesse Weis
Aspiration : To be liked by others, and to become an artist
Quirks: Can’t stop playing with her hair during class, easily distracted, can’t seem to keep a smile off her face
House: West District, House 14
Tea- Nothing can calm her down better than a cup of good chamomile tea. If she’s on a rampage or yelling or screaming at something, offer her tea and you’ll have a temporarily tame little ginka.
Parties- Although she may not look the part, Luminesse is a party animal, and if she finds out you didn’t invite her to a party, you’re really in for it.
Voodoo dolls- Every now and then, usually during winter, Luminesse begins to carry around a little voodoo doll keychain. This is because wintertime was when she began her new middle school, and when bullying started. It’s her therapy, and each year a random student is picked for no reason to become her little pincushion, usually tortured during lunch and sometimes in the middle of class. However, there are many other ways that Lumi takes care of her bloodlust...
Stuck-up people- She hates them to the core, since they’re so arrogant. Luminesse finds it absolutely disgusting.
Quiet people- Luminesse claims that she finds quiet people pathetic since they can’t stand up for themselves- however, the real reason why she hates them is because they remind her of the person that she used to be, someone that never said anything about the bullying.
Winter- She began her new middle school around winter, and bullying started there. Bad memories are brought up because of that season. Winter is the only season when her smile is more subdued.
Physical contact- Luminesse is almost guaranteed to flinch away if you try to touch her- the people at middle school physically abused her and she’s been cautious about touch ever since But that can be changed //wink wonk
Smiling- Luminesse doesn’t love smiling- although if someone asks, she’ll respond immediately that she loves it. Truth be told, Lumi usually finds it tiring to keep smiling all the time, but is willing to do anything to appeal to everyone.
Personality: Luminesse is typically described in a single phrase- an angel. Lumi is willing to help everyone with their day to day tasks, and is willing to go any length for a friend or companion. If you’re sick, she’ll send a flowery “Get Well!” card as well as some treats over to you. Need help on a test? Patient study buddy right there for you. Luminesse is typically quiet and soft-spoken, however, if she manages to become angry, you're really in for it. Being quiet and a bit of a wallflower, Lumi is used to being alone, but always has a kind expression on her face so she's typically well liked.
However, the true Luminesse beneath all the smiles and kind words is a hollow shell of a person. Not knowing what to act like around others for such a long time has eaten and rotted away at her inner self and confidence, leaving her as an empty husk. No one knows this side of her, and Luminesse has built such high walls around her that she's not planning for any visitors anytime soon. She herself hasn't realized the reason for her constant smiles and willingness to help her peers- perhaps one day, she will.
/ Reason for Going to Ataraxia: Luminesse’s childhood was split half and half- half happy, half depressing. In elementary school, there were several other ginka at her school, many of which she were friends with. However, after 5th grade, Luminesse had to move out of that school system as her Father had a new job, thus leaving her familiar friends. At middle school, she was often teased and bullied because she was a ginka, often being physically abused by the boys and girls. After sustaining many injuries, in the middle of 6th grade Luminesse begged her parents to allow her to transfer- and they said yes, so the application for Ataraxia was soon filled out and accepted. However, one day, when Lumi was sulking and thinking about how she didn’t belong in the school halls, one of the kinder humans walked up to her and patted her head, a gentle smile on his face. The words that he told her would forever be ingrained in her mind- “Smile, Luu-chan. Smile, and it’ll be okay.” The boy never left her mind, even after being accepted in Ataraxia. To this day, Luminesse tries as hard as she can to please everyone and become the perfect child, smiling all the while and begging to be liked and loved.
